Silver didn't know what salt water taffy was, so he wasn't able to identify specifically what his arm tasted like at the moment. He did know, however, that it tasted pretty damn good. Did he usually taste like this? Rey surely would have mentioned something by now.

Maybe it was a side effect of the parrot thing? That thought was distracting enough to ruin his attempt to learn cooking via osmosis by watching the Food Network.

"It is. Can you imagine if kissing was gross for a day?" She assumed it was a day.

"It would be tragic," Silver said. "Especially since we're still in our extra affection window."

"We are. We would have had to tack another day on," she said, taking the opportunity to kiss him for that.

Now Silver enjoyed kissing Rey on a normal day, but this was really nice today. "...that is actually pretty good."

"This is a very strange day and I'm okay with it," she decided, sliding her arms around him.

"It's nice when the island decides to work with us," he agreed, smiling. "I am curious what other people may taste like. Not enough to lick them, of course."

"Good, I don't want to have to ask you not to lick other people," Rey teased.

"I'm just so curious now," Silver said. "What if someone tastes like actual garbage?"

"Then they probably have a bad day," she said.

"I would be thinking about what I had done as a person to deserve that." You must have been really bad to taste gross when Silver got away with tasting good.

"Does this mean you've done very good things?" Rey asked.

"I taste that good?" he asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"You do taste really good," she said, kissing him again so she could lick at his lower lip a little.

Silver smiled at the kiss (and lick), enjoying how they tasted together. "Now this could last for four days and I wouldn't mind."

"It probably won't," she said. Sad.

"That's cruel," he said, leaning in to kiss her neck. Just to make sure the taste was everywhere.

"We might need to take advantage," she said, tilting her head to get more of that.

"Don't you have training?" he murmured, kissing her neck again.

"I make my own schedule," Rey pointed out. "I could be convinced to go this afternoon."

Silver gave her neck another lick before pulling away to look at her. "Well so long as I'm not interrupting anything important..."

"Not interrupting. Putting it on hold," she told him.

"What if you get really distracted?" he asked. "Think you'd skip the training entirely?"

"Are you setting a goal?" she smiled.

[long_memory]

"I'm just exploring all possible options," he said.

"I think if it happened," she said with another kiss, "I would have to go extra hard tomorrow."
