While Silver obviously preferred his girlfriend be in human form, he had to admit having Rey around as a cat wasn't too much of a nuisance. She tended to keep to herself and liked to sleep in the sun a lot. He must have been far more annoying as a bird.

Still, it had been about a week now and he was starting to get a little worried. He hadn't been a bird for that long, had he? He caught himself staring at the cat every so often, almost willing it to turn back into a human before he really started freaking out about it.

He had, in fact, not been a parrot this long, and Rey was really not happy to have gone from a woo girl to a cat, and it sucked not to be able to express it in ways other than occasional pitiful meows.

Which she let out as she laid on the couch, being stared at, because ugh.

And that was of course the moment Fandom decided she shouldn't be a cat anymore.

Silver did jump a little from where he was sitting because he was on the other end of this the last time and he didn't realize it was so...abrupt. Like, maybe a slow transition next time, island.

"Holy shit."

"Ugh," she said aloud, instead of just thinking it all catlike. "Hello again."

And now she got to feel awkward being naked on the couch even though it wasn't the first time she had been but this was very different.

"Do you want a blanket?" he asked, sensing the awkwardness.

"That would help," she said immediately.

Silver nodded, moving to get a blanket off one of the other chairs. "Are you okay? I've never really taken care of a cat before..."

"I'm okay. And you did just fine," Rey assured him. "I'd just like to spend more time as me these days."

"Totally understandable," he said, handing over the blanket. "I much prefer you as a human, for the record."

"It would be worrying if you didn't," she teased, taking the blanket gratefully to drape it over herself.

Silver laughed lightly. "Yes, I suppose that's true. You were a cat for an awfully long time, I was getting worried I had lost my girlfriend."

"How long was it?" she asked. "I couldn't tell."

"About a week," he said. "It's Sunday."

Rey blinked. "Oh, that's longer than I thought."

Luckily Anakin would probably be cool with her missing that much training?

"You can see why I was getting worried," he said. "Can I get you anything?"

Rey had to think about it.

"I think I mostly want to be clean without licking myself," she admitted.

Silver laughed. "That was a little odd to see. I totally understand, a shower is in order."

"And then actual clothes," she said.

"Yes, of course," he said. "Do you want me to get you some while you start the shower?"

"Please," she said, getting up with the blanket still around her for the moment, since an actual shower should make that feel more normal.

"I'll be right back," Silver said, leaning in for a quick kiss. It had been a week, after all.

"Thank you," she said, kissing him back because it had been a week, and then going to head for the bathroom. She dropped the blanket before she got there.

It didn't take Silver long to get some clothes. Luckily Rey dressed in muted colors so Silver would have had to try hard to mismatch something.

He joined her in the bathroom after tossing the clothes onto the bed. "Everything okay?"

"Completely okay," Rey told him, stepping into the shower once she got it running. "Are you coming?"

"Only if you want me to," he said, even as he was pulling off his shirt. "Didn't know if you needed some human time alone."

"I can get that later," she told him. "I'd rather company."
