Silver and Rey were going to try cooking lessons again. Well, they were moving on to baking this time. He thought it ended well the last time but when it came down to it he actually hadn't learned anything about cooking. Hopefully this time will end up better on the learning front.

How hard could it be to bake some chocolate chip cookies, really. Children do it on TV commercials all the time.

"There's a lot of measurements on here."

"I love how much you want these cookies," Rey told him, giving him a kiss.

"Well they're homemade," he said. "Everything I've heard tells me that should make them taste better."

"This is true." Maybe. They at least hadn't made any critical mistakes yet. "Let's get these on the pan and we can test that out."

"Yes ma'am," Silver said with a small smile.

"I kind of like that," Rey said, starting to put the cookies on the not-completely sprayed baking sheet.

He laughed. "I could call you that more often, if you'd like."

[thatwaslucky]

"I'm not sure I'm bossy enough for it," she smiled.

"And I won't be complaining about that," Silver said. "But in this case the bossiness is warranted as there is food involved."

"I'm going to have to keep this reasoning in mind," she said lightly. "I don't want to overstep."

"I think it would be hard for you to overstep with me," he said, wandering towards the oven. "Look at that, preheated and everything."

"We might be about to learn a valuable lesson about preheating," she said, bringing the tray over ri put it in.

"You mean I might learn a lesson in patience?" he joked. "It ends up in having fully cooked food?"

"It does in fact end in fully cooked food," she laughed, picking up her phone. "I'll even set a timer."

"Probably for the best," he said. "No need to start a fire."

[thatwaslucky]

"See, you're learning," Rey teased.

[long_memory]

"Now what do we do for fifteen whole minutes?" he asked, leaning against the counter.

[thatwaslucky]

"Well, last time we burned water," she said.

[long_memory]

"Oh, that's right, we did," he laughed. "Best behave ourselves because I genuinely would be upset if we screwed up these cookies after we've come so far."

"We would at least need to behave ourselves on a deadline," she said. Super romantic.

Super romantic. It seemed to work on Silver, anyway, since he was reaching out to encourage Rey closer to him.

"You are already missing a shirt," Rey said, getting closer so that she could slide her arms around him.

"I think it helped with the baking process," he said, putting his hands on her waist.

[thatwaslucky]

"It did make me want to finish faster," she said, ducking her head to kiss his collarbone.

"And here we are, well on our way to cookies," he said, sliding a hand under her shirt. "I should do things shirtless more often if it's going to up our efficiency."

"It goes with you being shirtless more around the apartment. We'll get more done," she said, leaning into his hand a little.

Dirty things. They'd get more dirty things done.
