MCA #2 | Thursday Afternoon

Silver and Rey were going to try cooking lessons again. Well, they were moving on to baking this time. He thought it ended well the last time but when it came down to it he actually hadn't learned anything about cooking. Hopefully this time will end up better on the learning front.

How hard could it be to bake some chocolate chip cookies, really. Children do it on TV commercials all the time.

"There's a lot of measurements on here."

"Oh, that's right, we did," he laughed. "Best behave ourselves because I genuinely would be upset if we screwed up these cookies after we've come so far."

"We would at least need to behave ourselves on a deadline," she said. Super romantic.

Super romantic. It seemed to work on Silver, anyway, since he was reaching out to encourage Rey closer to him.

"You are already missing a shirt," Rey said, getting closer so that she could slide her arms around him.

"I think it helped with the baking process," he said, putting his hands on her waist.

"It did make me want to finish faster," she said, ducking her head to kiss his collarbone.

"And here we are, well on our way to cookies," he said, sliding a hand under her shirt. "I should do things shirtless more often if it's going to up our efficiency."

"It goes with you being shirtless more around the apartment. We'll get more done," she said, leaning into his hand a little.

Dirty things. They'd get more dirty things done.

"Sure we will." And as if to prove how much that would not work he ducked his head down to kiss her a moment later.

She kissed him back, immediately letting her hands wander over his back, since she had to take advantage of his current state. Also since she was keeping the time in mind.

Thank god for that alarm.

Silver certainly wasn't paying attention to the time, instead focusing on deepening the kiss and enjoying the feel of her hands on him.

She was more than happy with her hands on him- this shirtless thing really did need to continue- and it was almost reluctantly that she finally pulled back enough to get her own shirt off.

That was much better. Silver slid his hands over Rey's stomach and hips, not staying in one place for very long.

As soon as she'd tossed her shirt somewhere, who knew where, she was kissing him again, harder now. His hands on her like that were really very encouraging.

Silver went took a hold of Rey's hips and went to move them so she was the one against the counter. He pressed himself up against her, really wanting to feel skin against skin.

The timer was going to ruin this, wasn't it?

If anyone else tried to manhandle her she would react very badly, but when he did it, it was really pretty hot. Trying to be helpful, she lifted her leg to wrap around him, in the name of closeness.

Honestly, if he saw her beat up somebody who tried that to her he would have thought that was hot.

As it was he also thought this was hot (shocking) and he got a hand on her thigh to keep her leg right where it was.

There wasn't any part of her that wanted to move right now, aside from pulling back enough to start working on his neck. That felt like really important work to be doing right now.

Silver made a pleased humming noise, tilting his neck to get more of that. He pressed himself closer against Rey, greatly enjoying where this was going.

Of course that's when the alarm went off.

That was a really frustrated noise Rey made against his neck right then, and she pulled back.

"They need time to cool."

"They do," he said with a fond smile. What? She was cute when she was irritated over stuff like that. "How about I take the cookies out to cool and meet you in the bedroom?"

"Okay," she said, pulling back so she could slap the alarm off. It really was kind of a slap, too, she had zero patience for the phone right now. "Gives us more time, too."

And she was only a little concerned something might happen in the meantime.

"It does. And we get cookies after." It was a win-win situation. He leaned in for another kiss. "I'll just be a moment."

"Hurry," she told him, smiling before she backed away to head to the bedroom.
