After radio was done, Silver went back to the sanctity of his own apartment where he could ignore the falling bags in peace. At first he had been disturbed and did his best to hide them out of sight. Among them were the ones that related to anything regarding his apparent attraction to Captain Flint and the guilt over leaving him and Madi behind.

Eventually he got tired of putting in the effort of hiding things and just sat on the mermaid couch in front of the TV and ignored them falling around him. He repressed his entire childhood, he could repress some overly familiar suitcases, don't you think he couldn't.

"Like the horse thing," he said. "The nightmare ones, not the pony ones."

"Yes," Rey said immediately, and firmly. "I would much rather see words a bag than experiencing what happened to cause them."

"It was bad enough watching other people go through it," he said, running his hand along her arm. "I can't imagine it happening to me."

"You didn't have to deal with that at all?" she asked.

"If I did it wasn't anything I didn't already have." Nightmares about losing his leg? Happened a lot in the first place.

"I'm glad Fandom was able to spare you that, at least," Rey said, running her fingers along his side.

"It spares me a lot of things," he said. "Maybe it feels bad for me."

"Or it just likes you," she said.

"I am pretty likable, aren't I?" he joked. "Yes, that must be it."

"It's definitely my preferred explanation," Rey smiled, leaning up for a kiss and ignoring a thunk as another bag hit the floor.

Silver was not proud of how he jumped a little bit at the noise. "That's going to be a thing all day, isn't it?"

"At some point we might get used to it?" Rey tried.

"We could certainly test that theory out," he joked. "Maybe it'll be less startling when the bags are smaller."

"I've had the smaller ones, they're less startling," she said. "Maybe this island will get all our big issues out first."

"The biggest one I got was a trunk," Silver shared. "Almost killed myself tripping over it this morning."

"I'm very glad you didn't do that," Rey told him. And then added, half-teasingly, "Which trunk was that?"

Just in case he would tell her.

"Unimportant," he said with a smile. "Nice try though."

[thatwaslucky]

"I had to make the attempt," she smiled. "Still love you."

"I love you too," he said, leaning in for a kiss. He was grateful that she never pushed when it came to that.

"I really think I'm too happy for this many bags," she told him, kissing him back.

Which may be why she was having an easier time ignoring them.

"Just shows you're a complex person," he said, smiling again. "Who can multitask."

"Am I multitasking?" she checked. Talking, cuddling, and ignoring?

"Yes I believe you are," he said with a serious nod. "Good work."

Rey tried to be serious in response, but laughed softly instead. "You're so supportive."

"I try," he said. "But you do make it easy."
